About Ruth Humphreys
Ruth is a professional storyteller based in Berkshire who tells magical tales. Her specialism is folk and fairytales from the British Isles, interactive family storytelling for 4 to 7 year olds and their grownups. She also tells some of her own magical stories.
Ruth has told stories on local BBC Radio, and tv as well as performed in theatres, libraries, care homes, fairs, leisure parks, farms, festivals as well run workshops in schools and community groups. She can create bespoke performances for events.
No two performances are ever the same as Ruth adapts her storytelling performance to the audience and invites the listeners to journey into the magic of the story, through live music, costume, props and the power of the imagination.

Ruth is a qualified early years and children’s librarian with experience of running story times and rhythm times for families as well as Bookstart programme. Ruth has an enhanced DBS check and public liability insurance.
