Musing on the Inner Child

We are invited to open our hearts, to recognize the love and the sorrow in the world and to feel it deeply.

We are invited to create and play with our soul, to recognise the inner child within each of us and to know that it still holds and remembers every dream we created as a child.

The inner child holds these in trust, keeping them as fresh as the day we dreamed each and every spark of imagination. We forever hold the key to this great treasure chest, but often we have forgotten we even own it. The inner child’s purpose is to help us remember through play, she tugs on our sleeve, calling us out to play. A riot of gleeful energy. And then she will stop, still, starring transfixed at some miracle in nature. She will watch the ladybird scuttering across the leaf or the ducks splashing on the river.

And then these souls too will become her play companions.
